Jock,
I definately would'nt describe a TD5 as not hands on, especially with 200 thou on the clock. Do a search on here for info on TD5's and their various common issues, things like oil in loom, oil pump bolt, head gasket, broken exhaust studs, warped manifold etc. There is heaps of info. They are a great car on and off road but they do need their maintenance. Get the one you want to buy checked by a reputable Land Rover buff in your area, not necessarily the local dealer as they can sometimes be Land Rovers worst enemy
Good luck with the search.
Cheers, Phill
