    Offset Wheels for D2

    Hi all.
Is there a negative offset 16 x 8 steel landrover rim for D2's or do you have to buy custom ones?
    cheers JP

How negative? If you want negative, you will at least have to go to a rim that is machined for a D2. Eastern Wheel Works will do customs for them. Or you may be able to get a rim like the Patrol (0 offset) or Landcruiser (-1" offset) machined to suit.

or are you talking relative to the standard offset? In this case there are rims out there, but not a lot of options. Procomp/Dynamic4x4 have a rim that has something like 1" or similar less offset from standard.
    Cheers

    Thanks Slunnie.
I am relatively new to LR and trying to learn fast but was just after some steel wheels to tour/explorore with that would give some more width over the standard alloys that came with the car. I think i need to look at some other set ups to get more of an idea. I have had a look at yours at it is very impressive - well done. cheers JP

I'd like to know if the procomps' offset fouls when you stuff the wheels into the wheel arches ? I know the P38 wheels work well, but what about the steel options ?

    Cheers

Hey guys, extremely old post. But thought I'd try anyway.
I bought a d2 that had modified commodore steel rims on it. I measured them to be a negative 12.5

And I want a new set but don't want to go custom

What are the dimensions of the wheel? Negative 12.5 doesn't sound like the standard offset of a Commodore wheel, but I would go and find another Commodore steel wheel and check it out. If it's right then you'd probably just need to get the centre bore machined out to suit the larger size of the D2's hub.
