I take it you put the tubing in the innermost section only ?

Yes i know,i should have bought a manual

I thought about mounting mine under/in the console.
The loom reaches but I havn't fully looked at this yet.

You would have to seal the whole unit and the plug on the loom side.
(water/mud gets in the plug and under circuit board where you can't clean.)
Not shore if they need air movment to cool.
