Glad to hear
On a lighter note ... If the repair deal runs good .... buy the dealer a beer
They are kind of the "meat in the sandwich " .... cause they get cars from folks who go "trade it in before it blows" and tell lies to the dealer ... who has only his eyes & gut feelings on what they are buying ... and it all comes to light when folks like you buy it
If they knew the true condition of car in the first place ... then they would never had bought it in the first place (I suspect only) .... If they where "Reputable"
Also ... if you have a Case number with the consumer squad .... Ring them and update your file with this info of deal ... You will need to stay in contact with them till the job is done

:)
What a shame about the car and problems you have had. :(
Good to hear the dealer has done the right thing and taken responsibility.
At least when you get it back you know it will be better than ever and should last for ages. :)
You couldn't ask for a much better outcome than that.
I agree with buying the dealer a beer. He could have just turned his back on you and made you go through all the legal headache. He is probably just as upset about it as you are although maybe for different reasons.
Sorry to read about your woes - but it is nice to hear of a yard doing the "righty" and not making you walk over hot coals to get a result. Makes a change.
Keep us posted on the progress...
Cheers
Mike
