    D2 CD stacker

Will an Eurovox stacker work in the base model D2 that only came with cassette and 4 speaker? I don't have the amplifier under the seat so was wandering if it would work, becuase there are a lot of wires under the drivers seat where the stacker is meant to go.

    Cheers

    Hendrik,

The answer is yes. I fitted one to my 99 D2 which had the basic sound system. I have since replaced the whole audio system so I no longer use it, but it did work fine. You will need the connecting cable as well as the stacker, since it was not included in the basic loom.

    Cheers,
    Terry

The bad news is there was a one 4 one deal with the genuine stackers,, one cable for one stacker. no extras/spares.
    AFAIK.

Hi, this is a genuine Eurovox stacker which will work on a base Series 2 Disco cassette player. The cable from the stacker plugs straight into the back of the cassette radio. The buttons on the radio facia control the stacker - plug & play. I have tested this unit (out of a 2002 model) in my 1999 D2 and it works.

Bundalene, how does the lead run to the head unit, is it via the roof and then down the A-pillar then under the dash? Your help would be much appreciated.

The stacker goes under the drivers seat ................why would you run the lead via the roof ???????

Run it under the carpet/centre console - then up underneath the dash to the head
