Thanks for all the replies, I think the largest recommended tyre size for a D2 is 30.5" and from what else I have been able to find out those tyres are 31.7"" - so a fair difference. As it is I need to spring into the D2 and a lift kit i'd need a mini trampoline to get in!!! :p

You will find your standard tyres are 235/70 16, not 235/75 16. As far as I am aware, you can't actually buy 235/75 16 tyres at all.
