Check out Pg8 from this Rovacraft catalogue. I think this may be the same bar. The owner bought it from a LR show a few years ago before these were being imported, so I'm not sure if the specs are the same.

Hi all just new so I hope this post finds you.
I have a D2 that I have fitted with some steel 16 x7 inch VR commodore rims. the PCD is identical to your vehicle as I have used them for trailers in the past so all wheels are interchangable with tow vehicle .
To gain a greater track the inside of the rims can be machined out and reversed and you can then determine the backspace required. I opted for a 90mm backspace which leaves the backing plate from the disc still sitting just inside the rim to assist with keeping mud out. The result is a 75mm gain in track per side and is fantastic for stability.
The rims are very easy to come by at most wheel and tyre places that have changed the steels off new cars to fit mags. I paid $10 per rim though I think the bloke was just happy to be rid of them, when I offered some money he went and found all the wheel nuts I required. The costly part is the machining, $90 per rim as the centre needs about a mm out of it, the valve hole needs to be welded up an another redrilled on the other bead of the rim and the centre reversed and rewelded to requirements.
These rims are used as my off road set and are fitted with 32 inch Simex's. they fit flush with the outsde of my vehicle, though I have also adapted the Rangie Spares flares off a series 1 Disco to my 4 door D2.
The only other modification I am looking into is a set of bead locker rings to strengthen the steel wheels bead as they dint easier than the alloys though are easily repaired trackside with a wompometer. -hope this helps Brendan
have you got a photo of them on there id be interested to see it?
im going to get some prices on procomps tomorrow, while doing that ill be pricing bighorns and m117 sports. im beginning to lean towards the silverstones i have to say. anyone used them or have an thoughts on the m117s?
