    ecu upgrade td5 99 mod

    Can anyone please give me some advise as to where the best place to get my chip upgrade done. I live in northern suburbs of Melbourne.
    What are the costs involved?
    Are there many different types available on the market?

    As mentioned PM or email Tombie2 on the forum as he offers this service. With a 99 Td5 you have a non-flashable ECU. This isn't a problem per-say, but may cost you extra. One thing is for sure the performance improvement is worth the money. I couldn't believe it when I got my D2 remapped.

    It's also worth considering a larger intercooler, Triumph Rover Spares sell these. This smooths out the performance very nicely.

    i dont think mike dose the non flashable ECU's yet. if you cant get a hole of him try pete (BAS).

    Tombie has recommended a TRS ECU for those who have a non flashable type.

    If you live in the northern suburbs, Les Richmond Automotive is in Thomastown and he will install a TRS ECU. Just ring up and they will express overnight and make a late afternoon booking. It only takes about half an hour and you're done.
