    Another thing to check is the indent switch.

    When I connected my CDL there was a massive lock nut which meant that the switch would not have worked ever. It stands to reason if they are not hooked up why set it

    See the black box/threaded hole in the pic. This is the position of the switch when you are lying on your back and are unable to see a thing

    Ow, thanks for that picture, mine is leaking oil between the t-case and the gear box. I was wandering if there was a shaft seal in there.

    this is probably the first time the shaft has been turned in???

    Gday All,hate to disappoint after all the great reply's but got caught at work so didn't get home till dark, its pelting rain and blowing 40,000 so havent proceeded with it any further.Got other issues with the car at the moment ,so it might be a weekend thing.

    Activate your cdl with the 10 mm spanner then jack up one wheel and try to turn it by hand. I bet your cdl dash light will come on as soon as you feel some resistance from the diff lock coming into play.

    If you find your wheel is still able to spin freely your cdl has not locked in for some reason, maybe jammed internally.

    If the wheel won't spin freely but you still get no dash light then your cdl is locked but your cdl sensor or dash light is at fault.

    Been through exactly the same thing about 2 weeks ago myself.
