    Question General Grabber tyres

    Hi Guys,
any experience with these on a TD5?
    2003 D2a Auto TD5 good Landy gone
2015 D4 probably the most amazing yet, why get a RR?

By chance I just had a pair fitted yesterday to the front end of our D2. Feel/sound/grip identical to the original Michelins in my honest opinion. Maybe slightly better grip on the basis there is more tread than the Michelins that they replaced. Obviously only been on the black stuff since lunchtime yesterday!

Had them (all terrain) on my 90 since new (4 years). Done about 80,000 and only just starting to look a bit tired on the front. Would easily get another 20,000km out of them. Not too noisey and grip well.

It doesn't rain in Melbourne so can't tell you about "in the wet".

I think they are good for the bitumen, I have not tested them in off road conditions as I have a second set of wheels/muddies for 4wding.

Got some on steel rims for going bush in my 03 D2 (235 70 16 GG AT2) - really good IMHO.

Give Greg at AMV a ring on 98709904.

I've put about 8000klm on my set of GG AT2's.
I've not driven on deep sand or through bog holes, so cannot comment there.
But on wet and dry bitumen, rocky, gravelly, dusty, corrugated roads they're excellent. Very little road noise aswell
Some wear beginning to show, I rotate the spare at 5000klm.

If I get anywhere near 80,000 klm IMHO that is way too high and indicates the compound is too hard. These "feel" soft, very grippy and I'd expect around 60,000klm. (I do tend to push the corners 'cos I got ACE )

I'd buy the GG AT2's again.

However, one important note, I only got these because BFG dont do a 255x65x16. Otherwise I'd probably be saying all this about them.
