Bar work - Please help identify!

I'm in the process of purchasing a Disco and need some help identifying this nudge / roo bar.

Does anyone know who made it and or it's model number? It's fitted to a 2001 Td5

Your help will be greatly appreciated

That is a factory fit 'brush guard'. They are absolutely useless as a bar, and pay close attention to where the bottom mounting is attached to the brackets, I have seen one on a 2000D2 break off and get run over as it fell under the vehicle from a rusty lower tube
Best thing to do is take it off and fit a real bar with proper ecovery points. DO NOT use the 'towing eyes' on this bar to tie your dog or even pet hamster up to

Had one on my D1, as per Justinc it fell off due to rust and a rock tap

    Don't do it

Get a stainless nudge bar instead if you want factory

But don't forget, NONE of them have decent recovery points anyway!

Stick it on ebay, you'll get $250 + for it that you can put towards a real bar. If all you want is to mount spotties and an Ariel to it will be ok if not rusted.

I don't know why they are called nudge bars because as soon as you nudge anything you bend them at the lower brackets or just crush them - made of very light gauge steel.

A big thanks to all who responded especially justinc and DiscoDan.

It's actually on the Disco I'm picking up on Friday and I'd figured it was about as good as a politicians election promises.

I can see it hitting trashBay in comming weeks once it's been replaced with something a hell of a lot tougher either an ARB or TJM but that's another can of worms I daren't open just yet.
