Sliders

I take it that there is an angle mounted to the sill with the pipe sliders welded too it and they come through the original plastic sill which you have mounted back over the said angle to cover it.
And where its bolted through sill panel there are large plate washers on the inside to stop bolts crushing the sill.
Does this sound correct ?
Great Idea for Height and the same for Hook strength and no lose in height.

Sorry, I forgot to say.Bad day.
The slider is 25/75 box with the pipe welded straight to it (dipped gal), box runs full length of sill, small angle welded on pipe side of box with cut outs to match seams and shapes in sill, jacked slider into sill so it is hard pressed against sill and used stainless (7mm from memory) screws with bolt heads every 150mm along both sides, inside is through the seam of the sill, out side through angle. Weight of impact is distributed through full length of slider (theory).
Plastic over the top. I should wash the car and paint the sliders, they would look a lot better then.

Underneath looks Identical to the way I designed mine, but mounting has been slightly different. Good looking sliders.

Thanks for this. The sliders I and Chucaro designed are almost the same in setup, but different sized box and round tube (we got pics some where on this site). Now I actually was thinking about setting my disco up the same way as you did, with the plastic still on. So its great to see your pics rather than theory in my head.

Funny with your description of set up, we did the same, used a jack to press the slifer hard under the sill and then drilled through the whole sill, from on side to the other.

I did;nt drill through the whole sill just the bottom seam on the inside which is a pressed seam, very strong even though thin and through the bottom of the sill and angle on the out side.
