Good Day Ladies and Gents,
I am Sukhpal from Cranbourne North (SE Melbourne).
This is my second Disco 2. The first one was a D2a that i had to sell a couple of years ago.
I am not very mechanically inclined and that makes owning a disco 2 a very expensive hobby. Hence i have joined this Forum as i learn my way around the disco and mechanics in general.
I am up for any day/weekend trips around Bunyip/VHC if there are any regular group trips?
Cheers
Love the rego, I'm not sure if it demonstrates a lack of faith or the required Land Rover SoH.

@V8Ian
Bit of both?
Hi there, I'm new to the site. Have owned my D2 tdt 2003 for several years now and is more off road than on. Seems I enjoy tinkering with it more than driving 😀 😀 😀. Dread breaking down on road as expensive to get fixed by mechanic, even for simple things in part because engine compartment is tight and moving things takes time even to make simple replacement.....also if I do things I know it's being treated with care (such as correct torque settings), unless you go to good specialist (expensive but things done right). If you treat it with kindness it will give you more than you expect back. Cheers, Mort
Thanks V8lan. For me so far maintenance is the best part (that is , if I manage to keep calm when things go wrong) ... biggest job so far was changing bearings and bits in transfer case (without press or specialised tools, workarounds make you think 😊. Just having troubles with compromised threads on rear diff housing. LR moved to bolts on D2 no doubt to save on build. Seems no one has posted on this problem before. So I might be adding something new when I sort it out. Would like to replace bolts with studs...Thanks for the welcome. Cheers, Mort2
Hey first time Landy Owner :P, 3rd 4wd. Got my self a '04 D2a with big plans.
Its stock as but not for long :P the shopping has all-ready started. Seems to be mechanically solid from what I can tell, fingers crossed.
Also just ordered a Nanocom and in Perth so if any one ever wants to use one hit me up. Hope to see ya's around.
