How to change key fob battery?

Are there any pitfalls in changing the key fob battery?

    What is the correct procedure?

    1: Prise key open.
    2: Remove old battery.
3: Fit new battery (observe polarity).
    4: Reassemble key.
    5: Enjoy extra remote range!

The above procedure even works well when you go swimming with the key fob as well!

Just insert - "leave out to dry" after prise key open! lol

Prise it open at the back (near the ring loop) with a flat blade screwdriver.

Better half just took the remote for a swim at the beach.
It had a good 10 min swim I'm told.

I think the worse. Great, new remote for me to hunt down.
So I open it, thinking I'll give it wash with fresh water and dry it.

To my suprise they are very water proof!!

Tested for 10 min submersion anyway.
