I think the previous owner was a tight... person who didn't like spending money. I questioned it when I was looking it over - having spent a fair bit on the bar, winch, lights, roofrack etc., but he said the only time it needed the extra clearance was off road.
Can feel the extra weight making the rear suspension wallow on speed humps, and the handling is different to my old man's D2 as well.
So yes - next job is the match the front with some spacers.
