Welcome to the "D2 club":)
Whats the intended use?
Only for towing/daily driver or rock hoping/mud bathing?
Don't order springs till you know what acc you want, eg Bull bar,2nd batt, fridge, shelfs, ect.,they will all effect ride hight.
Engine saver as sugested is money well spent IMHO.
Mines linked in my sig. if you want a look, just done springs and set for touring with tents.
New disco owner...got it on Friday
2002 Series II Disco....chipped up, Piranha dual battery system, drawers, roof rack, waterproof seat covers, 3 inch exhaust.
To get list:
Bull bar - haven't decided between TJM & ARB as yet
Some lightforce lights
UHF
Side Steps
2" lift
Fridge....dunno what to get here...more research needed
Might cut the rack back to a touring rack so I can get a rooftop tent....keeping the basket at the front.
Side awning

HI Panzer
The recovery points are ok on the ARB bar but I have made custom recovery points under the Bullbar attached to the chassis . Went to arb enquiring if they could be purchased for disco but just got a blank look from salesman. So made some from 1/2" plate and purchased a bridal strap I have not had to use it in anger as yet because and d2 has been brilliant everywhere ive gone and a few weekends ago showed up 2 landcruisers up the blue mountains west of Sydney one blew up his front diff lock and trashed his near new Cooper ST tyres and the other had to winch up the Disco just made them look like RAV4s. I'd be careful using the recovery hooks on Bullbar maybe tow but not snatch with them.

Hi Murdo Dobinsons do a 2" spring lift and shocks and i have polly airs in my Disco 2 all work very well have done around 30,000kms with this set up have been to Kimberleys (gibb river rd) Mitchells Falls ,Tanami Rd and up to Lawn Hill all towing my Jayco Flamingo the springs and shocks only cost $800.00 for the set and $350.00(12months ago Sydney prices) for the polly airs and I fitted myself They are a good combination Have tried old man emu on my D1 and after a trip to the top end the shocks where had it . these are still great after that 20,000km trip Can highly recommend.
cheers mark
have a look in the show us your d2 sticky thread at the top of the d2 pinnacles threads for a short list of the cars n what people have been doing with them.
Ive learned carefully planning the mods is the way to, being realistic about its intended use saves big money. The mates rates kit from suspsension stuff is quite popular and cost effective for a 2" lift and shane the bloke who runs it is excellent.
good luck with the d2, ive had mine for about 18 months and love it, no matter how deep the money pit gets :P
this is mine, since you asked :P

Got it last November, been down around Boonah since, up to Rainbow beach at Christmas - and general family wagon day to day - including towing the hobie 16 some weekends...
Love the Colour!
Got this yesterday. We are now a two Land Rover family again.

Nice car Jeff, good stuff.
Hi all, I am new to this forum (although I been browsing it for a while now). Anyway here is my 99' TD5 ES. All pretty standard so far.
