It has been a while since I posted a pic of my D2 in here, so here is an update.

    Here are the specs;

    • 2002 V8 ES, Leather Interior, ACE etc.
    • SLS replaced with 65mm raised Dobinsons
    • Bilstein shocks
    • D1 tail shaft - uni joints instead of rotoflex coupling
    • Front recovery points
    • Front bash plate
    • XROX bar
    • 32mm body lift (going through engineering shortly before anyone asks)
    • LRA extra large flares
    • Aluminium washer bottle
    • Rear storage drawers (built by myself)
    • Cargo barrier, centre divide and top shelf
    • Avenger 9000lb winch with air freespool
    • D2a tail lights
    • Rear door ladder
    • Roof basket mounted on roof rails with high lift and shovel holder
    • Dual optima batteries
    • UHF
    • Front and rear light guards
    • 50l Waeco on slide
    • Twin 9.0 litre air tanks with quick release hose couplings
    • Safari snorkel
    • Extended roof rails
    • D44 Spare tyre carrier
    • Rear quarter chop
    Sitting in the garage to go on;

    • 50mm tube sliders
    • 33x12.5 R18 mud tyres (waiting on rims)
    • Custom rear winch bar with 2nd Avenger 9000lb winch and air freespool
    • In cab front and rear winch controls
    • Locker and compressor switches
I know there is more but that is all I can think of right now, I should right down everything I have done oneday

Looking nice there Chris... Couple of quick questions:

    (1) - Whats your reason for the 32mm body lift?
Not going to pick on it.. Just curious..
33's will fit under there on slightly taller springs

    (2) - What rims are you getting?

    Thanks Tombie,

    To answer your questions.

    (1) Body Lift - I will be running high offset beadlocks with 35x12.5 Maxxis Creepy Crawlers on weekend trips at the parks and I went with the body lift and maximum 75mm spring lift to come within the QLD regulations and the proposed NCOP for modifications, so with engineer approval I can keep the vehicle legal and still be able to fit the play tyres at the parks.

The other reason is that I will be running raised shock mounts instead of long bumpstops as to not limit any upward wheel travel in the suspension and need the little bit of extra clearance.

    (2) Rims - The rims are a 18x9 Force Offroad blank drilled to the D2 PCD and machined to a 32mm offset to gain the extra 50mm in wheel track.

Having trolled the forum for a long time I thought I would throw up some Pics.

Nothing special but trying to make a capable Rig on a very limited Budget.

Rhino Roof Racks - 3/4 Rack to be sourced or possibly made
Side Steps - Home Made Job
Nudge Bar - (better then nothing)
Flares - (Nudge Bar and Flares thanks to CJT - Chris, purely random E-Bay purchase)
2" lift - Kings and Terra Firma Shocks
    Narva Driving Lights
    245/75/16 Tyres
    7 Seater
    Hayman Reese Towbar
Other then that just a standard 2000 TD5.

As we are a family of 6 also have a fully enclosed 7 x 4 Trailer matched height and track of the Discovery and Roof Pod which makes travel possible.
