Thread: Upgrade Time!?

D2 7 seat TD5 is a great choice and will come with SLS (Self Levelling Suspension) as all 7 seaters are fitted with this.

When checking out, test the SLS - shut all doors and press the off-road button on the dash to raise the SLS to maximum height, if it takes longer than 25-30 seconds it will mean the SLS Compressor is probably getting old, if so, allow US$300-US$400 or so for a replacement.

Try getting one with ACE (Active Corner Enhancement) it stops the car leaning over on when cornering. It is also one on LR's most reliable systems.

If I am correct, ACE was deleted on the D2a "facelift" models, 2003 / 2004.

Not sure why, but when I bought mine, the sales guy said that LR had been having issues with it. Not having any experience with ACE, I cant confirm or deny this, but the lack of issues raised on here about it could well be a good thing.

mmm. I always thoght the '03/'04 HSE & SE had ACE. Things changed when the Classic Town & Country was introduced

Could well be. Mine is the Classic Town, so hence, no ACE.

I would like to drive one with it, just to feel the difference.

My D2a has ACE. ACE was always an option, not standard fitment on any Aus model anyway.
