Yesterday i finally got around at looking at my blown globes, for me it was the middle 2 globes in the pic above that were blown. These illuminate the temp up and down and the bottom buttons.
On inspection i noticed that they are a 12v pigtail style globe wrapped around a plastic base.
I wandered into Jaycar and picked up half a dozen of these (mine have yellow wires)

I stripped the insulation off using a cigarette lighter and just wrapped the bare wire back around the original globe base. The globes are longer than the original and the green plastic cover is slightly loose but it does the job.
Also as a side note, if you are looking for something to make a tool for removing the stereo, i used 2x flat style computer case rear card blanking plates which i had lying around. Just cut them down with a pair of tin snips.
So the digital clock is supposed to be back lit too??
Seems I may have a few bulbs out too.

My usual source didnt have the same type, just the straight 5mm wedge type, however you can buy individual bases to suit. Narva usually have these in their catalogue here. They used to have a range of LED dash globes, but my first hand experience with them found them to be absolute rubbish and it seems they have since dropped them.Quote:

Anyone has the pic of the back of a/c controller unit or at least the 2 clips that holding the unit on the dash. Need to how the clips work n make sure i do the right clips. Thanks
I just got my 1999 Disco back on the road after 12 months. Had all these dreams of a lift, winch & bar etc but had to rebuild the whole motor. Toorak Tractor, Braeside, Vic replaced the block, head, bearing seals etc, etc…
Now for the very dark climate control panel…
Bottom line it was very easy. For those with the Eurovox cassette radio I “fabricated” my radio removal tool out of a coat hanger, works a treat!!! 170mm length of coat hanger bent at right angles 70mm from each end…

My faulty lights were one of the temp adjusters and all the bottom two rows of buttons. As "Dazza67" shows us, I needed 1 X 8510251 (temp switch) and the JWH100070 (bottom two rows).
I went to Jaycar and asked for LEDs and was met with a strange look. Apparently 12V LEDs are not available which is a shame. He sold me two small globes about 4mm wide which look suspiciously like the globes "GRUMPYBASTARD" bought ($2.70 total costs). They were a tiny bit small for the little green plastic covers but they stay on no worries.
I later went to Autobarn to see if they had a better fit. The Narva range according to "LOVEMYRANGIE" are a good option (and I reckon he's right). Autobarn staff apparently thought I had leprosy as they treated me with the requisite distance and contempt as if I was a sufferer. They only showed me three kinds assuring me neither would work. I reckon they would’ve worked had I tried but gave them the flick. I’ve since had a good look at the Narva range on their website and reckon I’ll give ‘em a go next time.
I installed the Jaycar globes just as described in this post with no hassle at all. My sincere thanks to everyone who contributed, I'm sure you've saved a lot of us a lot of cash...

Ok, so now I have the stereo out (after about an hour of rooting about), God they fit those things tight!
So HOW do I get the 'CAGE' out?

If you're talking about the aluminium cage for the radio, there are little tabs located at the upper and lower corners. You'll need to slide a small flat screw driver under the tabs to lift them up enough for them to clear edges.
