In Jordos picture below, behind the radio, you can see the space where it looks like sunroof controls might go on the "optioned up" vehicles. Is it possiblet o fit a radio there?

Same here - no holes needed and it's a nice snug fit. Hasn't moved in seven years.

this thread inspired me to move my gme tx3100 to the spot i wanted to mount it when i brought it but was a little scared to cut a hole in the plastic cover and it seemed hard to run the wires up there i was surprised it was not that hard as some power wires were already up there

    I like.

Very impressive looking job gerard. Is there anything behind that panel to attach the head unit to, or did you have to make something up.
    Cheers .........

Hi i made a block of wood to the shape/angle that i wanted and glued it to the housing it does not look that good but as the head unit only weighs 168 grams it seems plenty strong enough its also a pretty snug push in fit in the panel

    Thanks Gerard.

I like what you have done there - may look at something similar myself. Where I have mine mounted (below the drinks holder) works - but you can't see the head unit when you have the drinks holder pulled out. As I'm sometimes in areas where I have to change channels frequently, your option looks much better suited to what I need - and it looks the part too.
    Cheers .........

Do you have ACE fitted?.....I'm really impressed with the installation but I know that there are supposed to be wires and fitments for ACE up there somewhere behind that panel and wondered if the installation would be restricted by it. I guess I should simply remove the panel and look, just wondered though.
