    Gen or not Gen parts

Need to replace my radiator as it is leaking out of the top screw on the passage side which holds the plastic fan gaurd.

Have tried to get the side tanks but can't buy need to replace the hole radiator.

Spoke to the local radiator place in palmerston darwin and he said he could weld up the plastic hole and re tap the screw but could not 100% ok that it would work

have got prices of about $500 to $550 for a landrover one or $350 for none Gen radiator

Has anyone every used none Gen radiator before The none gen radiator is from a good supplier and is made over in U.K or scottland

    What sould I do

Ooh, this is a hard question. The genuine part isn't actually made by Land Rover but an OEM from another manufacturer. Often, the aftermarket non genuine part would work just as well, but I've now had a run with lots of non genuine parts which just don't work as well as the genuine stuff.

Non genuine is good if you want to make a repair just to get the vehicle going and then sell it. If you plan on keeping the vehicle as a long termer, I suggest genuine. Try and find out if you can buy genuine at trade prices. One of the LR dealers in Melbourne gives a 15% discount for Land Rover club members.....
