    Another TD5 shocker idea.

    Gday All,had the coolant alarm go off last night,lifted the bonnet to find coolant leaking out behind turbo.First thought was head gasket or cracked block(guess you expect the worst with L/R).Upon getting some decent light and some time to look closer, there is a coolant hose about 3inch long tucked in behind the turbo.
    The hose in question is not even the same size on each end...If you think getting the oil filter on/off is fun when the car is warm, try getting to that hose.

    I have heard of a coolent alarm before were do they fit the sencer for the alarm and much did it cost to get fitted and what sort is it can you fit it you self

    Glad you court it in time other wise big $$$

    that hose is one of the preventative maintenance things that should be done "just in case" i have a new one on car, and a spare in tool box

    (Sorry,been down the Daly river trying to catch a barra..Mine fits into the bleed screw on the top rad hose,my dad got 1 in perth for his car and sent me 1 think they are about $100,got peter brown to fit it as I was away cost $65 to fit,best $165 ever spent on the car..The part #on the 1 i got is pbh 101980..(hose part # not the alarm)
    I was just surprised to find a small hose like that right behind the turbo.Will put that on the regular service sched now I know its there..Must be alot of landrover engine designer with small hands..
