Rear Bumper Damage & Fair Cash Settlement Price
Hi All,
A third party recently damaged my rear bumper, its not repairable (a decent hole in the corner). Is $600 a fair cash settlement asking price from me do you think? I figure I can probably fit it myself, and have a quote of $500 apprx, plus the "labour charge"....
Cheers,
Chaz.

Had the same issue not long ago - I handed to the insurance.
Their cost for new bumper, brackets for both sides and new LH tail light was just under $800 inc labour.
As long as the body behind the bumper is OK I would think 600 is heaps for normal people to fix it...

Same as what Harlie said.
Someone put a light pole right where I was reversing, and cracked the bumper. TRS in Adelaide quoted me $400 for a 2nd hand bumper in good condition.
As long as the metal work is ok (mounting points etc), then the offer sounds good to me. It should only take you an hour or so to swap it over yourself.
