tyres for d2

my brother has so got 80,000 on the MA-751 Bravo Series and he uses them like a MT the bloody wombat .....cant fault the maxxis in that regard..

Just a note on the BFG A/T's. Last time I checked, the 235/70/16 size as plated for the D2 does not meet the load rating of the vehicle. Be sure what ever you get meets both the speed and load rating to be sure.

For note I have the Pirrelli Scorpian STR's 245/70/16. Had one with a sidewall failure within the first 4km's. May have been a fitting error. Since then they have been great for a road tyre.

Probably will go for the same in the ATR next time. I also run BFG M/T's in 265/75/16 on a second set of rims. They are great tyres.

I just looked at these as an alternative to the BFG A/T's in 245/70/R16. Tyre retailer "swears by them" but mentioned a tad noisier than BFG's.

Price wise they are only $10 a tyre cheaper at $260ea.

I've got a $200 voucher for Bob Jane so I'm kind of limited to what they stock but both options seems reasonable . . . .anyone got any other thoughts?

My 2c. I had the original michelin tyres and got 80000km. Pretty good cept a bit slippy in the wet. Replaced with same and looking at new set again after 50000.

What to get...seems many choices and opinions. I am leaning to perellis ATR or bridgestone 694.

Sorry no. I have always had Michelin. I suspect that I will go for these, tough a mate had them on a D3 and only got a few months out of them!!
