Hi all you other long suffering Landrover owners. I have a 8/2002 TD5 Disco 2. I've been exploring my 3 Amigo problem for a while, it was getting gradually worse with them appearing at some stage each day. A couple of weeks ago I had to get a new alternator, the old one died. SINCE THEN NO 3 AMIGOS, nor the transmission warning lights that appeared occasionally. So voltage is an issue.
Another thing that was a surprise is that the car kept going for about 50 kms (till I got to the mechanics) after the instruments died, the transmission went into 3rd gear and everything else electric stopped. The battery was down to 7 volts.
What does all this mean? I have no idea but my Amigos have taken a holiday!
John

Hi All
Well after 6 years the Disco has the 3 Amigos and they won't go away usually the lights reset themselves and all is well again for the next few months or so. So now i will look at getting the ecu read and reset and maybe buy a Nanocom when they are available. So is there anyone on the Mid Nth Coast NSW that can do this for me. Also are there any Land Rover specialists in this area.
Regards
Doug
