    D2 Auto Gearbox part number

Wondering if any helpful members are able to tell me the part number for an Auto gear box for my 1999 D2 TD5. For the record my box has been causing a bit of trouble over the last 12 months (clutches slipping and changes clunking) and the time has come for a reconditioned replacement. ZF in Sydney can supply but want the part number and with all my looking I can not find a part number on it while it is still in the car. I was hoping to get my local automatic people to do the swap if I provide the box for them. Any one know? thanks.

Do you mean like ZF 4HP22, electro-hydraulic shift control with fluid torque converter - or the LR part no.?

The LR parts list shows NSS (Not Serviced Separately) for the LR part no. and that complete transmissions are serviced by ZF Australia.

MicroCat shows several LR part nos. for the Td5

    TGD101510 to VIN 1A736339
    TGD000220 from VIN 2A736340

The ZF model and serial nos. are on the side of the box if I recall correctly.

    Thanks

Yes ZF want the landrover part number. When I first made an inquiry about price of a rebuilt unit about a year ago the chick seemed happy enough to say they were in stock and could send one out. The local landrover agent is in decline and when I got to him about doing the swap he no longer had a mechanic. By the time I found an auto transmission shop that was happy to do the swap and got back to ZF they want a part number now. I can't find any numbers on the side that would be part numbers and the LR agent has never got back even after about 4 requests with the number so I remain in limbo . Still drives OK if I back off the juice through changes but would not trust it with towing the caravan etc.

Send a PM to Scouse and ask him if he can confirm the numbers.

i couldnt find the number stamped either, could find their name though.

anyway the lr microcat number above worked for me.

    they translated this one to:

    TGD101510 to VIN 1A736339 = 1043010766 (zf number)
