    ARB Bull Bar

    G'day All,

Does anyone know if a Commercial ARB bar that suits a 99 D2 ( and is air bag compatible) would suit Smokey ie D2a. Is there a difference or not? Thanks in advance for any feedback,

    Regards

    Stevo

As far as I know Stevo, the commercial bar is the non-winch bar. It will fit on your Smokey as the front end is pretty much exactly the same with the stock bumper removed. You will have to ditch you front fog lights though, as I am pretty sure the older bars do not have room for them.

Hey mate...this is a winch bar...and a commercial one...ie not the deluxe one. I kinda figured I may have to ditch the fogs....just means I will get spotties instead , but also looking at possibility of drilling the holes for the fogs.

    Regards

Good to see your getting a bar....fiiiiiiiinally.
I don't think drilling the holes for the fogs will be too much of a problem, good hole saw should do the job, might just have to weld in some sort of holder to hold them in place. You might even be able to colour code it, as in repaint it. Will look schmic then

    Thumbs up

    Hi Stevo

Give S Henry a PM as He has a non-winched ARB bar with fog lights that he wants to sell. He has just removed it off a D2a and he will probably through the spotties in as well.

Then to fit a D2a bar to a D2 search in projects (I think that is what it is called for a thread/post from DiscoDan on the minor alterations to be carried out on the D2. The changes are all cosmetic.

By the way S Henry is at Loganholme.

    All the best.

ARB non winch bar for D2a (suite SRS airbags)

    Hi Steve,

Good luck with your bar modifications.

I have attached a photo of the bar as installed on my vehicle. In case you might need it.
The driving lights are not supplied as they are now installed onto my new bar. But as you will see by the pics that the park/indicators and driving light mounting brackets are supplied

It is in great condition and currently sitting in a carton with its mounting kit and fixings ready to go.

I just need to give it a quick clean.

    Cheers,

    Shane H

The D2 bar has a cut out for the grill, and the D2a bar does not. It might look funny as you will have a gap between the grill and rear of the bar.

However all the brackets will line up, as to the wings to the guards.
