    Camshaft sensor fault

    Hi all
I have just completed changing a set of plug leads on my 2001 D2 what an experience that was it took myself and a mechanic about 40 minutes all up.

After the job I put his Launch X431 Diagnostic tool on and is showing fault "Camshaft sensor fault /Valve timing error."

Question is would this make my vehicle seem a little underpowered it seems to run a bit better since the new leads but still underpowered.

Also could any one tell me the approx cost of the sensor?

Last of all could someone please tell me where it is exactly we tried to find it the other day but no luck??

    Launch X431

    Hi Pedro
I just Googled Launch it seems to be quite a popular tool, well according to their site.
I have used it before to diagnose ABS modulator problems and it has shown up and cleared other faults.
I got a price for the camshaft sensor from British Off Road today $215 still trying to decide what to do.
I guess I wont know if it is underpowered until I go ahead and fit it.
