    D2 ARB bumper measurement

Guys, due to the fact I cannot even go look at one as they are not available here in the UK, before I order one I would like a favour from anyone who has a D2 ARB bull bar or sahara bar on their vehicle to do a measurement for me.

I know its sounds like a strange request, but from (some), of the piccies I see of these bumpers installed, they seem to stick out a long way and will reduce the approach angle quite abit. Im aware the angle can (and will be) improved with a suspension lift, but for now Im wondering on this distance and how much different it actually is to my current standard bumper + A bar.

So if you have 2 mins and take a look at the piccy and measure from the grille surround to fllush with the bumper face ( A-A) and let me know what the distance is, atleast this pomme can compare it.

Thanks to anyone who assists. (scuse hand drawing lol)

    Hi Urban P

I have the ARB Deluxe (there's a Not the 9 O'clock News reference in there somewhere ).

From my grille surround to the front face of the bar is 195mm.

The Deluxe has two rubber over-riders immediately in front of and below the two main/inner bar uprights (maybe they all do?) so add an extra 50mm for those, but I don't believe they comprise the approach angle and are probably removable anyway.

    Cheers
    Mike

    X2

Don't forget the wings taper away giving a greater approach angle at the wheels than at the centre section.

Have a look at Redback's in "Show Us Your D2" (Page 11).

    Cheers.

    Thankyou gents, much appreciated.

And as for pedro, don't confuse things by teasing the TJM option..........

Interesting you should say that, the TJM ones I just looked at in the show us your disco, look "to me" as they sit tighter to the car........maybe just the piccies tho.

Also, the ARB onwers maybe can confirm, from what I have seen the ARB winch Bull bar for the pre-faclift D2 seems to have 2 recovery loops on it, where as the facelift one ( with fogs) does not seem to have them.

I was going to get the facelift one as I like the fogs, but I may consider the pre one now if that has the recovery eyes already on it......

Does the TJM have them on the front ?

Some piccies "pedro" would be nice

    he he lol

the T's are for a high lift jack.

Sorry to ask so many questions, but is that headlamp washers I see on it to ? did they come with it ?

And will your bumper take a winch ?

Any built in recovery eyes ?
