You can go to bunnings and get the packets with different lengths in them but you should be able to get M6x30mm.

The bolt furthest from engine goes staight through but thread needs to be cleaned with a tap as the last bit tapers.
The M6x40 will make it but the last bit is vey tight and one runs the risk of strippping the thread again.
