So it is cannon!
Ok so I have another question which perhaps is the subject of much debate? Manual V Auto.
I have noticed that there are way more Autos for sale. I thought that was because the people driving them out of the showroom would generally be driving them around the city maybe and so would opt for the auto...
Im planning to buy a vehicle to do weekend trips away and perhaps a trip to the cape or WA eventually.
I am also thinking that if the auto is as good as the manual off road then maybe I would save more coin to try for a D2a? from what i hear the early model dicos had some issues but when they built the d2a they managed to remove most of these?
Also on the cdl topic..
Am i correct in saying the D2a has the cdl standard? but the d2 doesnt and so an upgraded diff and linkages are needed?
me thinks you need to do more homework/research,,,,;):D
It's a pretty good auto. I wanted a manual until I drove the auto. And it's great for offroad aswell. If your doing a lot of towing or planning on warming the engine, you may want to think about a larger transmission cooler.
If you can afford it, get the d2a. CDL installed and linked. early d2s may or may not have the cdl internals and 90% won't have the activation linkages.

Interesting point?
From the pic of the dash it looks like it has the button to raise the height, but no pics of the rear to confirm if its a 5 or 7 seater...could have had the 3rd row seats removed?
There's no rear step on the rear bumper, to get into the rear 3rd row seats....
Don't say that you'll scare him away :) (LR owners openly talk about things that go wrong unlike other brands of vehicles)Quote:

The V8 and the Auto do play very nicely together, i don't know about the TD5 and Auto though... It also has some nice features eg: "Manual Mode" in low range with the "sport" button pressed you can select any a gear and it will stay in that gear.Quote:
