Possibly, I'm not sure, not going to pull the motor apart till I'm co
pletely out of options with this car yard.

not many rebuilt d2 v8's even 10 years down the road,,,
a few from chasing more power for whatever reason but havent heard of one just wearing out,,,
and even then its usually top end stuff that goes first,,
curious.
does the engine look like its been apart recently??
should of asked...
who did the initial diagnosys?
what have other greasers said?
Doesn't look like it's been apart as far as I can tell, has all been degeased of course cause that's what car yards do to make em look good. It was even spit pollished underneath. Should have known, these things are leakers and it was all clean so who knows what it was like before I saw it.
Original diagnosis was done by a company (not sure if I'm aloud to use names, if not, I apologise) called Rally Offroad in Geelong, they're an arm off Rally Motors and have a pretty clean rep. Also had a mate who's a head mechanic at ford say same.
Car salesman willing to swap for something else of same value but now I have to wait till he gets something in that will suit.
Is apparently quite common but misdiagnosed, piston expands with heat and then when they cool, sometimes they shrink ever so slightly more than original size which gives them room to move left and right inside the cylinder getting worse till she finally drops a leg out of bed.
