Airtec.
I do prefer the Safari who also manufacture the LandRover supplied ones.
Does anyone other than safari make snorkels for d2's. Have checked a few sites but as yet havn't seen much. I am trying to do a price and style search, with fitting instructions included--new or secondhand? Anyone else been through this???![]()

Airtec does them. Safari used to manufacture them for LR and still make them. My D2's was badged both LR and Safari. Mantec does one for the D2.
I've not heard good reports about Airflow snorkels and I have a feeling they don't make a D2 one anyway.

Airtec and Safari both do them in Australia. There are more options from the UK if you search on the web.
I went for the safari, it only cost me a little bit more and in my opinion looks better, looks stronger and you can mount different heads on it for travel in dusty areas etc.

Hi Greg
I've been through this and decided on the safari. They seem to be the dearest but if your lucky enough to score a second hand one I can post you my template if it helps.

Have purchased safari waiting on delivery, any info or tips on fitting will be most appreciated. All will be done at home in basic workshop[shed]

Seal EVERY joint with copius amounts of RTV sealant when assembling,
Also remove air box and seal up the stupid dump valve (I popped in a suitable plastic cap and RTV'd it in as well) and the other small hole in the bottom of the box, and if your really fussy (like me) add an extra foam seal to the lid so it sits down "hard" on the bottom when clipped together.
And if the safari still uses the flexi section between the airbox on the factory wing intake, then that is BREATHABLE, so if you have some (or get some), cover it in a self amalgamating silicone tape to make that water proof as well.
