What are the torque figures of a V8, a standard TD5 and a chiped TD5?
And at what revs?
I'm not used to diesels, so approx how many revs would you do up medium hills?

Now your talking - either supercharged low compression 3.9/4.0 or a 4.6 with some anger and its a whole different ballgame (and again for the naturally aspirated one on LPG very cost effective)...now if I could only kill my bloody V8s...285k on the 3.9 and 155k on the 4.0!!!!
Cheers
From memory the D2 td5 has 310nm, the D2a Td5 has 340nm, the V8 from memory is up there as well. I have the D2a td5 stock standard a family of 6 and tow a 900kg camper. Cruising at 100k the torque converter is locked and it sits on 2300 revs it will hold the speed on most hills. Having had the D1 3.9 litre V8 and now the td5 they both do the job in different ways. On a short country run with city driving as well towing the campervan i use 12.5L/100km. The SLS is awesome load the D2 up and she just levels herself out. NO wandering all over the place like my mates Prado when it is loaded up. .
Nankas
P.S. The only thing i miss about the V8 is that sound, sighhhhhhhh
Diesel for towing, don;t see many petrol trucks around these days do we:D
Chip and I/C are anything from standard up to about 165kw/530Nm.
