Ah yeah by the way the CDL switch was faulty when i had that problem with cutting the wire did your new ecu change the lights coming on (SORRY TO CHANGE SUBJECT )

How is your battery???
I got the 4 amigoes when my alternator died a few weeks back.Went away without using my Nanocom once the alternator was replaced.
If you have a multi-meter(less than $40 to buy) test the battery voltage(at the terminals) with engine off,engine running,engine off lights on high beam,engine running lights on high beam.
These 4 values will let you know if the battery is low or if the alternators not charging properly.
Not sure that a Nanocom will initialize on the V8 as the engine ECU is different.

Thanks Andrew that is something I can test.

I have a suspicion though that it is Brake related, there is some squealing happening when I put the brakes on and that is something which keeps being spoken about as a potential cause of the Amigos.

I'll be pretty annoyed though if the brakes are low and that is the problem given that only a few hundred K's ago I had the big 120,000 klm service done which cost a small fortune plus some.

Just finished reading your reset steps on my Blackberry when the missus stopped to fill up on way home from Canberra.to Sydney. When she went to restart nothing just winding over she flashes me that look that says why didnt we take the crumbledoor. I says no worries try this (reset)D2 starts. All happy knew there was a reason why I drink and she drives.
