Checking the BBS website on archive.org it appears your details were removed from the distributor list at some point between July 12 2007 and August 18 2007. It seems pretty safe to assume that you haven't used any newer BBS products since that time.

Given the fact that their product line has been revised and upgraded substantially since 2007 I wonder how much stock can really be put in your views on the quality of the BBS software?

    Hi Paul

Based on the track record of quality control and poor performance of BBS products over a couple of years of course I did not use any more of their products. Some of my customers of those years when I distributed BBS products likewise simply 'parked' their hardware and purchased other brand products that actually did what they said they would (unlike BBS).

Nobody can base any opinions on product quality other than on past performance. That is simply a fact of life .

If you produce a crappy product and then treat customers (and distributors) as if they are the ones at fault then you are responsible for the reputation that you have accumulated. What makes BBS even harder to understand is that they are now trying to regain their reputation by selling their hardware at higher prices than the competition.

By the way, I have no experience with recent BBS hardware and I never intend to why would I? - and I never had any issue with BBS software - it was their hardware (and associated lack of quality assurance support) that was crap, although some of the horrible communication/stability issues that BBS products had were probably due to software/hardware protection issues. What a joke that was when others where producing products to carry out similar functions and releasing it as freeware/shareware!
My old BBS gear when properly communicating and past the copy protection phase was actually quite good in software application and use.
However if the hardware was faulty and not communicating then what good was good software if it didnlt connect and run as it should have?

I have all the correspondence documentation in hand to back up all my statements.

    regards, Daniel.

i have dealt recently with BBS and other than the issues they had with a major blackout caused by the govt, they have been nothing but professional, i would definately recommend them, against the opinion of daniel.

ihave been in retail to know how quickly bad news travels compared to good news, so thought i would try and throw in a bit of balance.
