I have a 2000 D2 auto Td5.....no discernible noise from the auto and certainly no vibration that I notice. Mine has 200k on the clock now so it's well worn in
You didn't mention, is yours petrol or diesel?
Cheers
Mick
I have just bought, I pick up today (hopefully) a 2000 D2 auto (base model)
when test drove it has a slight noise from the auto when under load and a slight vibration through the pedel.
The dealer drove the car with me and said this is normal and how they came out of the factory.
Is this the case?
It is under waranty but I am still interested to know
Thanks

sorry td5 diesel
It is not a bad noise and I think that if you were not looking for faults you would not notice it,
it is only slight
HI,
We bought our 2002 TD5 a few months back and when I took it for a test drive I noticed the same thing, owner said he had never noticed it. ( i have an ear and feel for noises etc)
And so far after driving from QLD/ Perth and back neither have gotten worse or dissapeared.
So could just be something that new Landrover owners notice
Old owners have detuned themselves![]()
OLD owners????........OLD????
Well that's just lovely that is!!!!!
Not only infer that I'm past my use by date, (well, I may be getting close)but also insinuate that my beloved mode of transport creaks and groans also
Un-cheers
Mick
It was not ready today as they need to order a swival hub as it is leaking apparently, looked good to me, and a tappet cover gasket so I will check the front uni joints when I get it on Wednsday.
I am so excited It has been a while out of a D2, I love them!!
Thanks for the help guys
What part of the country you hiding in?
Plenty of other people around to listen to noises if you need, I drove one the had a bad virabration in it but the owner said it was always there
