Angry Clicking noise in rear Diff

    Hey all
When i engage my rear arb locker ,on take off i have a clicking noise pronounced when turning but once moving no clicking ,i have no death noises as a ****ed diff would make no vibrations ect, done the check for broken axels (maxidrive)if i am only engaged in low ratio it would just click once or twice sometimes

seems to be manly when lockers engaged

Does anyone have an idea what could be causing this
    cheers kelvin

chance it could be the splines on the pinion to the flange, they can click if not tight enof or dont have locktight on them, but iv only seen this one fenders, not d2??,
and would only do it with the locker cos theres alot more resistence and force to tern the diff? witch make it click

My D2 clicks when I have the centre in or rear locker in, I'm fairly sure they all do, I know Slunnies does also.

Mine does a very small wierd clunk feeling when turning corners but i think that its just because of the wheels being locked the inner turning at different speed to outer thing... but yeah all strange....

Mine started as soon as the Maxi axles and ARB locker went in. It only does it in the rear diff.

It seems to be when the force on the axles gets reversed.

Actually, come to think of it I havent heard them click for a while now.
    Cheers

well today i decided to pull out the rear diff (i am still on holidays) and inspect thinking that when i drop the oil i was gonna find nastys ??????
but no nothing so inspected the maxidrive axels and no noticable unusaul wear ,so i called a mate who works at ARB ,told me to bring it in checked out the workings adjusted the backlash by 1 thousands
i then put it all back together ,and after putting my last hub on i looked to my left and what was sitting there!!!!!!!!!! my last axel ,trust me alot of swear words where let of at the top of my voice

Finally its all together test drive time

    AND NO MORE CLICKING
