just replaced the oils in my D2's auto transmission and and rear axles and after returning from a short test drive I slid under the vehicle again to check for any fluid leaks and the like.
All looked good and when sliding back out I put my hand on the ACE control valve block and found it to quite hot... too hot to keep your hand on. Also the pipes leading off towards the front of the car.
I haven't noticed this before. Is it normal for this unit to be so hot?![]()
Normal, the pump is working full time, not as the ACE is required.
If its a diesel, feel that filter!!!!!! Surprised hell out of me yesterday when I did a service, just as hot as the oil filters.
New one was the same after a test drive.
