Yes. But that is just a guide. Each vehicle is different. You'll know when you've gone too far and it cuts out.

I've gone +4 turns and have only hit cut-off once (more like a momentary stutter). It was floored racing a ricer through a roundabout

I reckon I could go another 1/2 turn easily as I hardly ever floor it

Just checking back on what boost pressure is sane/sensible to use as I realised that mine is peaking out at 20.35 psi

And here I was thinking I really should try turning up the boost by 2 turns. Obviously this had been tweaked by the PO.

I find that the d2 really feels like it is limiting at 3000rpm under load when climbing hills. I'm wondering if I might be better off winding the boost back a bit so it's not running so close to the ECU over boost limit?

    cheers

Dont bet on it... The D2 I got from Dad (was new to him) when first tuned kept overboosting..

It was stock - even the dealer commented it went 'better' than most...

When we kept overboosting and throwing into limp mode we put a memory boost guage on it... 22psi - as shipped from the factory

And yes - on the dyno... Pulling the boost back to 19 psi got us an extra 12 kw at the tyres....

Looks like pulling the boost back a little might be worthwhile then.

    thanks

I know this thread has been dead for nearly 12 months now but I'm curious to how you went with boost.

I am about to start winding mine up, using the Nanocomm to watch the boost level. I was intending to run it about 20.5 psi or what ever kpa as thats what nanocom reads.

    Happy Days
