I'm not sure I've understood you correctly regarding the legalities of this, but I know Dave and the mods make a big deal about the legalities of other activities on here so would be surprised if this was the case.
When I needed it, i remember thinking 'great plus another 3 days to post etc. I just needed it 'then'. As an alternative, could the site simply charge say $5 for access to a download of it, which would give immediate access on the day for anyone in urgent need. On top of that we feel good about helping the site, its convenient, no burning or other activities needed, no trawling the net , bad links etc, and its not excessive in cost.

I have a RAVE CD. Stopped working today so guess I am in for another Disc.
However I was wondering if it would be better to have the RAVE contents on a USB stick?
It would not get scratched and would be a lot easier to transport....happy to pay a bit more.
Thoughts please.

the rave discs in the shop have been freeraved where possible
just copy the whole disc to a usb and it should run fine i would think
there are a few compilation discs there as well that i created collated and menued etc etc to make it convenient for people to access the info and help support the site.
no one makes anyone shell out anything to access anything but sometimes it pays to help those that help you
