Yeah, I went on a trip recently and had a travelling mug sitting in the cup holder. I started to hear an intermittant beep and got really concerned that I was experiencing the start of some dreaded Disco electronics problem. After too many kms of trying to diagnose the problem I worked out the mug was pushing on the climate control button and it was that beeping at me. I was very relieved to work it out but then realised I couldn't use the cup holder for my mug of tea. Cheers.

The cup holders were in the car when I brought it. They are a Land Rover accessory and I have seen the on eBay before. They are handy but the drivers side one is a little annoying on the knee at times. But they are handy for the mobile and other bits and pieces.

I did mine with the sem ebay and easy as. The only issue you really have is the leather is thicker than the factory cloth and as a result it gets a tad tricky to settle down. End of the day, they look great!

Thanks for the heads up mate...just ordered some...$20 including postage from UK...leather and all..

Can buy the cup holders from various UK and US LR suppliers.....can't think of names off hand.

I thought I had read a number of unhappy customer comments about those gaiters....but I may be mistaken; you all seem happy with them so I might reconsider now.

Ive dealt with them (centre console lid cover)- went missing in postage, not their fault and replaced immediately at no extra cost and a good quality product-- its the handbrake gaiter next!

I am very happy with them but you need to take care when fitting them. I can see why people might be unhappy with the out come if they have not taken care when fitting them to the frames that your original ones are on. Also take note of the orientation of the Handbrake frame as that may catch you out if you don't take note.

hey guys,
I'm trying not to start a new thread here but I need some help.
I bought my new transfer and handbrake gaiters and need some advise for the handbrake dissasembly (transfer case is done, no probs).

It's an Auto V8 D2 ES with heated seats/elc windows/wood trim.

RAVE says put it in 'D' and remove........ How? Is it on a thread - twist? Do you need to hold the selector/lock button in at the same time?

Remove selector surround - just lever off?

I imagine once this is off and the wood just gets levered off to give me access it should be ok.

Any other tips to save me breaking something or taking 3 hours when it should take 30 miuntes?
