Swap ya for my Kombi camper. :)
Hello All,
For a mere 12,900 UK Pounds and the cost of importation one could be driving around this little beauty LANDROVER DEFENDER 110 COUNTY STATION WAGON DORMOBILE CAMPER 200 TDi | eBay.
No relation to the seller - except the knowledge that some lucky sod will get to drive a very nice bit of kit. Oh the upholstery is a bit strong colour-wise. It reminds me of Blackberry Nip inspired vomit.
Kind Regards
Lionel
This one could have been yours for $25k ;)

The red one pictured belongs to Jock(George Henderson), he rescued it after it had been standing under a tree for seven years. While debating how to get it to his workshop, the seller suggested putting a battery on it and driving it away  you can guess what happened next..........it roared into life.
This was a major turning point for the dormobile as George decided it would become a restoration project instead of a parts car. This Dormobile now contains parts from five different Land Rovers and sports a 3 litre Westlake Engine. Great job ;)
Hi Charles,
Good to see you are keeping Jim busy :) Looks like your curtains stick to the windows with suction pads ?? not rails
I also note that they haven't fitted a rear gutter above the door, look forward to seeing some internal pics when finished ;)
Hi Jerry, they are 9 layer thermal blinds, no curtains. Jim does them but I had made by another company double sided, thermal silver one side for very hot summers and white for winter, end up using this side most of the time. They are pretty thick but really get the job done.
New units look like being finished first week of July. I had the prototypes in for a week then gave feedback to Jim. They were then taken out and are being used for CNC machine. Stupidly I didn't take photos but with the cushions, the full length double bed works great and it still keeps the original LR 5 seats.
Where is the gutter above the door, I haven't seen it in other conversions?
Btw If anyone is interested I know where there is one for sale. I was offered a 1963 doormobile, imported in '64. Was told it has a fully rebuilt original motor and drivetrain, most interior parts still there but missing the kitchen unit. Body is in average condition with the usual rust in the doors etc. Needs a resto to look any good. Bloke mentioned he paid $2500 so was looking for something around that price. Located in Wembly, Perth. If interested Pm me and I'll chase it up as this was three months ago! I'll post an ad in the for sale section if people are keen.

Is this the one that's been around before.
Not sure, I've never seen it advertised. It's light blue.
