    yes, they are tight all the way out.
    I took the module out of the car to do mine,, would have been a nightmare in the car!

    I did mine in situ. I did as you said you did Mildred but I was able to break the loctite on the threads with a little persuasion. I actually found it an easy task to change out the shuttle valves while the modulator was still in the vehicle but as others have said, it is a bit fiddly.

    Just take your time and go easy when undoing everything and moving about the modulator to gain a bit of room.

    By the way, I purchased my replacement shuttle valve kit from a local Landrover specialist in South East Queensland for about $160.
