That is exactly what is hapening Kelvin.

Let me see if I can explain this correctly in English (I´m not a native speaker)

There is a problem with the MAF voltage. Maf sensor as a default value and a maximum value of 4.9v. What happens is that with more air in the air filter box you raise the v value and the ECU simply cuts the injection untill the MAF v comes down to "normal values".

Solutions:

1 - Turning the MAF off - The ECU will work with default MAF Values
2 - The bypass solution:

3- What we, at td5inside, are trying to do is creat a small box (a bit like the turbo boost box) that allows this value to go up!

Ive now posted this in another thread as well, but Kelvin, what syptoms ar you trying to cure? Im still having problems sorting out my VNT tune as well.

seems hard to believe that such a small post-filter hose can make much of a difference - I thought 2-inch ID hose was recommended for bypass?

Here is an idea....Why not put the pipe in as shown in the previous post. Use 12mm (1/2in) pipe. Take it from the airbox to the crankcase breather hose inlet on the 90 degree connector thing that is there. Take the crank case breather hose and just whack on (for now) a 12mm crank case breather filter using a plastic hose joiner, or brass if you insist.

Im thinking, Im going to disconnect the provent outlet hose from the provent, and connect that hose to the airbox. Then, on the provent outlet, Im going to stick one of these from DRIFT PERFORMANCE:

Total cost of experiment.....$14 for the filter (autobarn)
Probably $10 for barass fitings for the airbox.

Id be interested in TECHNICAL comments.
