ok first off ,trying to sort this out plus fix quite a few other things(not lr) so this is not top priority. Just a pia.
In the last few weeks the disco has copped a fair hiding with all the mud and ****e around.
checked earths, connectors and cleaned mud and crap from computer plugs..
checked res between pins 6&9 Nothin......
Fault reads elec connection on shuttle valve faulty...(not uncommon)
there is a write up here ABS Mod - Land Rover Club V.I.
Checked again today and reading is in spec??
Prolly a dry solder joint on the pins on shuttle valve connection.
But seeing the bloody think is working(for now) I will wait until I get time to repair.

ok...
Got the time to drop shuttle valve assembly this morning.
Valves good, loose pin on internal connector.
Cut off plug, extended wires, replaced valve assembly and hard wired.
Cleared faults.test run and checked s/valve res.
All good.
Total cost.....a bit of wire, about 40 mins of my time, and a bit of bark on the wabso bracket.
Total time ....2 stubbies.
Will be on the washed out track to the van again this weekend so that will try it out.

OK, I've got a similar problem (I think) and really don't follow this thread very well. Not sure what or where "the computer" is on the vehicle. I have a 2002 TD5.
Should I just remove the wheels and give every thing a good pressue wash? Where actually are the sensors and are they expensive to have replaced?
Many thanks also if anyone is able to assist.

if you follow the link posted in the early post,it tells of a couple of checks to do.
It really helps if you have a nanocom to post the codes.
Sensors in behind wheels, its prolly easy to remove wheels to clean, but I just use pressure washer.
My disco td5 has copped a fair bit of crap over Xmas/new year.We were camped in the Grantham area(up in the headwaters) and it was common to have water over the bonnet on some creek crossings.
The computer is next to the battery and in most cases quite safe, but the whole box filled with crap.Dried mud mainly.
It really is a credit to lr that the thing runs so well now.(then again lr never get thier hands on it)
Prolly put the hex on it now

Well mines a V8 so no comp in engine bay (what were they thinking, cant drown a diesel so the comp will be ok too?).
Just to clarify, the lights that don't list fault are those events that can be cleared with ign off/restart. When they don't clear via "soft reset" then there are codes to be found.

Snap on diagnostic tool. Sees them if they won't clear with ign reset but will if they stay around.
