Cheers Paul (offtrack)
Glad you like the changes we have implemented.
Sometimes there is no single best solution, but we do try to also improve the layout of things.
Regards some of the wishes mentioned
As odd as may sound, no diagnostic equipment actually performs any kind of test on a vehicle at all.
Most can't even do something as basic as reading the current battery voltage.
What they do is provide an interface to each ECU's such that you can now access it's own built in self diagnostic capabilities. Ie the Fault codes an ECU decides to log, the settings that can be changed, real time values it provides and so on.
We pride ourselves on reverse engineering each ECU we cover ourselves to figure out and provide access to absolutely everything it can possibly provide via it's diagnostic link and have developed a number of software tools to aid us in this.
In some cases we even discover manufacturer only access or back doors left open by by employees that their bosses probably never even knew about.
But unless any ECU has been provided and developed with the built in diagnostic capability to do something like fire an Airbag or change the tyre co efficient, it is impossible to do this.
Regards notification of upgrades, i will look into setting up a mailing list feature, but most ISP's now have anti spamming features that may prove quite difficult to overcome.
