Thread: purchasing nanaccom for my D2

I just recieved mine last week. Still need to have a good play with it but it all works great and I have already changed a few settings. I really only bought it for peace of mind when on remote travels.

Buy direct from BBS, but do a search here for the AULRO member discount before you push the button. That is the best deal you'll find unless you can pick up a used one somewhere. What you want is the discovery 2 kit to suit your engine type. That has the Evo hardware, unlock codes and cable.

Unlock codes enable the modules you choose to purchase. You would typically buy a Evo and unlock pack to suit your vehicle. The unlock is not keyed to a single vin. You can add extra unlock codes to enable support for other vehicle and engine types. For the D2 you basically have the choice of a td5 or v8 unlock. The only difference between the two is the engine module that is unlocked. You can buy an unlock for the other engine for 49 euro which then gives you coverage of both.

The Nanocom EVO is a standalone device, and there is no means of connecting to a bigger screen. What you can do is record data from the modules and playback later on the EVO or using analyze later with a program that supports CSV files.

For the Td5 they are the best diagnostic tool you can buy. The ability to record the ECU fueling inputs to file for later analysis is invaluable for identifying issues.

Vat should automatically be removed when you put in your Australian address. So no VAT
