Seriously, am I the only one excited about this?!

I've ordered the license and the cable. I still haven't seen the software update posted to the website yet. I'm kind of excited to run all new software on my modules. I hope I'm not as disappointed as I was with Windows 8.

    Hiya Peter

Even so, i believe that the time cycle of the data obtained via Diagnostic requests plus such calculations as you suggest would result in far from accurate and usable results.

Thanks for bringing this thread back on topic.
You are right in noticing that something very exciting is indeed currently happening in respect of this coming upgrade to the Nanocom Evolution upgrade that adds coverage of CAN BUS vehicles

Via the Disco3.co.uk forum, I committed to have this availiable for purchase on our web shop(s) from Dec the 1st which as you noticed it duly was / is.

While you can place orders for this, sadly the software is still undergoing what seems to rapidly be becoming almost endless last minute debugging and final polishing and despite our constantly thinking that we will be sufficiently ready in another few hours, in reality and despite my best hopes and my tech guys best efforts probably won't be generally released for a short while.

Those initially purchasing this will however get at least the first software release in the next day or two which although we have debugged and tested as best we can, may well still have some odd bugs.

In compensation for this we are currently providing a 20% introductary discount and in fact this happens to also fall in line with an overall 20% Christmas discount we are currently offering on absolutely everything we supply.

Despite my expectation that there will be some minor bugs in the first release, and if this causes you any dissapointment jafir, i can only but pre apologize, but we have to start somewhere with this and will quickly get any problems sorted.

Nope, still excited. This disappointment I mentioned above was in reference to the new software I load on the modules in the Land Rover, not your update for nanocom. And I was mostly just making fun of windows 8.

    Colin,

Once the dust settles on this release could you please look at adding support for the Ambient Air Temp sensor found on the EU3 Td5. It strikes me as a bit odd that I can see and record this data using the X431 iDiag but not on the EVO.

    cheers

From what I read there appears to be no extra features for a D2 TD5.
    Am I correct?

I too would like instantaneous and average fuel usage and the IAT sensor.

The IAT is already reported as Air Inlet Temperature. The AAT which is part of the AAP sensor on the air box is not.

I think you'll find that Td5 ECU's report that the "fuel used" support is disabled so I'm not convinced that this information is actually accessible over the OBDII port.

    cheers

I've read that people that have attempted scan gauge or ultra gauge on Td5 have failed for this reason.

In the D2 the TD5 reports 4 (possibly 5)pieces of live data over OBDII - Calculated load, throttle position, RPM and Road Speed are the ones I recall. I believe the Td5 Defender reports no data at all.

I will certainly add this to the list of things to look into as soon as we get back to some sense of Normality after the CAN BUS coverage is mainly sorted and we get a break Paul
