Just my experience on the 2 units mentioned here:

Hawkeye - remember this was essentially the portable unit to the T4 system.
I've never seen it fail, crash or give me unreliable results.
It's got old technology and screen is too small.

Nanocom - nice unit and feel and quite robust even in a workshop environment.
Software is a true nightmare, it's slow, the touch screen is ancient, it's crashed more times than I care to remember were you end up rebooting it a few times on a session.
It's been to Cypris once after loosing comms and this was a nightmare logistically. I had to pay postage, repairs and VAT. This after a non-reversible software upgrade... but that's history I guess!
Even so it does 9/10 remaps for me with fair ease, but I do have a stack of bricked ECU's to prove that it also fails.
It does provide more detail and options to that of the Hawkeye thou.

Well my new Nanocom arrived and after me putting in the wrong case on a letter in the unlock codes and then finally getting it right it worked a treat.

I checked if there were any fault codes and it said all clear on the tested menu but found 5 on the not tested menu - not quite sure what that means - is there a fault or is there not?

Anyway as previously stated, prior to going away in a couple of weeks to The Simpson, is there is a listing for fault codes for the 2.4 Defender.

I would Appreciate any information on this matter and any other advice on what to do to get this unit ready.
